The Pacte Industrial reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable mobility industry as an engine for innovation, employment and sustainability in the Barcelona Metropolitan Region

In the framework of the 25th General Council, the Pacte Industrial has organised the "Electromobility: a commitment to innovation, employment and sustainability of the RMB (Barcelona Metropolitan Region)" seminar and has presented a preview of the study commissioned by the association on electromobility. Jaume Collboni (Pacte Industrial and Barcelona City Council), Lourdes de la Sota (SEAT), Noemí Moya (Voi Technology), Mireia Arroyo (Gestamp) and Juan José Berbel (Metyis) took part in the seminar.

The Pacte Industrial is committed to sustainable mobility industry as an engine of the economic recovery of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region

Jaume Collboni, President of the General Council of the Pacte Industrial, has announced during the 49th meeting of the Executive Committee the creation of the Sustainable Mobility Industry Forum to promote the transformation of the automotive, motorcycle and railway industries towards a sustainable (decarbonised), digital, shared, connected and autonomous framework.

Boosted intelligence will increase the competitiveness of companies and should make us more worthy as people

Presentation of The impact of artificial intelligence on companies publication by Xavier Marcet, prepared by the Department of Business and Knowledge of the Generalitat de Catalunya with the support of the Pacte Industrial. Marcet proposes a guide of 9 essential components for the incorporation of artificial intelligence into companies and noted that, although there will be tasks that machines will do better, the secret is in the sum of the human and artificial intelligence. The author defends a society in which the relationship between machines and people is in favour of people.

The Pacte Industrial organised a session on the challenges of Urban Freight Distribution (DUM), an essential element for the sustainable future of the logistics and mobility in cities. Sergi Saurí (CENIT), Sergi Martínez-Abarca (ATM), Carles Conill (AMB), Marta Losada (Clúster Catalonia Logistics), Juan José Casado (UGT de Catalunya and Pacte Industrial), and Alba Gubert (Pacte Industrial) took part in the event.

Presentation of Pacte Industrial’s Paper 5 and discussion of the challenge of reformatting the industrial parks

The document "Present i futur dels polígons industrials: més enllà de la seva transformació" (The Present and Future of Industrial Parks: Beyond Their Transformation), which was prepared by urban planner Maria Buhigas, aims to encourage discussion of the transformation of the industrial parks, with a view to addressing the complexity of a new, dynamic and changing industry, preventing obsolescence, and improving their ability to act as a factor of competitiveness. The presentation also included a discussion of the challenge of reformatting the industrial parks.
