This morning, the Mobility Committee of the Pacte Industrial held a working session on the draft paper entitled “Reflections on Freight Mobility for Industrial Estates in the Barcelona Metropolitan Region”. The session aimed to help produce a greater understanding of the realities of the industrial estates and a more integrated perspective on policies concerning mobility, urban planning and economic development.
It was led by Juan José Casado, who is the Head of Institutional Policy for the RMB at the Catalan General Workers’ Union (UGT) and the Chair of the Mobility Committee of the Pacte Industrial, and took place at the Business Centre of Hospitalet de Llobregat City Council (Department of Economic Development).
The session began with a presentation from the paper’s author, Ignasi Ragàs (IR Economy, Logistics and Territory). This was followed by a discussion in which representatives of the members of the Pacte Industrial exchanged their views on the challenges that are faced by freight mobility.
This study, which is promoted by the Pacte Industrial, is soon to be published as part of the new collection of Pacte Industrial Papers.
