Jordi Valls: new president of the Pacte Industrial General Council

The Industrial Pact of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region held its 27th General Council, in which the new local representatives took part as a result of the changes following the municipal elections that took place last May. The fourth deputy mayor of Barcelona City Council, Jordi Valls, has been appointed president of the General Council of the Industrial Pact.

Screening and discussion of the documentary “Ciutat en Beta” in Mataró

The city of Mataró hosted the screening of the documentary City in Beta: the work of today, the city of tomorrow as part of the presentation tour organised with the support of the Industrial Pact. After the screening there was a discussion with contributions from Ester Manzano, Joan Majó, Jordi Marin and Albert Cañigueral, during which the potential of medium-sized towns and cities as a result of teleworking was highlighted and the changes in the work model brought about by digitalisation were analysed.

Presentation of the innovation document prepared by the IND+I and the FEI

Within the framework of the presentation of the document Proposals for new innovation policies in Spain 2023-2027, a dialogue on business and innovation took place with the interventions of Josep Martin (Manufactura Moderna de Metales), Catalina Balseiro (Aigües de Barcelona) and Sergi Fuster (Industrial Pact and PIMEC). Carles Ruiz (Viladecans City Council, IND+I and Industrial Pact) highlighted the importance of disseminating the culture of innovation.

The Industrial Pact participates in the III FECAV Conference

The managing coordinator of the Industrial Pact, Carles Rivera, has participated in the third edition of the annual conference organised by FECAV. Specifically, in a round table on the discretionary bus service as a lever for cross-cutting development. Rivera pointed out that mobility-related infrastructure and services play a key role in promoting economic development, making companies more competitive, creating jobs and attracting talent.

Pacte Industrial is committed to public-private collaboration to build local professional training ecosystems

Pacte Industrial has organised a Professional Training working day to analyse the importance of public-private collaboration and cooperation among the region’s agents for achieving sustainable economic development. The aim of the day was to display an X-ray of the current situation of VT and to analyse what the future professional profiles and vocational training will be like, based on recent reports and contributions made by several experts.
