On 5 March a seminar was staged under the title “The Car Industry. The Reasons for Success”, organised jointly by the Cercle d’Economia and the Pacte Industrial of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region. The aim of the seminar was for experts and agents in the automotive sector to debate their industry and its evolution at a round table. The participants were Antón Costas, President of the Cercle d’Economia; Carles Ruiz, the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Pacte Industrial and Mayor of Viladecans; Vicenç Aguilera, president of the CIAC; Joaquim Coello, a member of the Industry Working Group of the Cercle d’Economia; Ciriaco Hidalgo, Governmental and Institutional Relations Manager of SEAT-Volkswagen Spain, and Noemí Moya, External and Government Affairs Section Manager of Nissan Motor Ibérica.
