We are in a global context characterized by the scarcity of natural resources and the onset of technological transformations driven by Industry 4.0. and the onset of technological transformations driven by Industry 4.0. Thus, the challenge arises to make more efficient use of resources and new technologies. At the same time, the opportunity opens up to promote a sustainable reindustrialisation based on the circular economy and the pact between the socio-economic actors.
Along these lines, the cycle “Dialogues and synergies for the 2030 circular transition” has been developed, organised by the Pacte Industrial of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region in collaboration with the Palau Macaya of “la Caixa”. The objective achieved has been promote dialogue and collaboration between different socioeconomic agents in the region in order to support the transition towards a circular economy. The cycle, held during the years 2019 and 2020, has been selected in the 4th Call for reflection projects at Palau Macaya of “la Caixa”. It is a continuation of the cycle “Reindustrialisation and Sustainability. Horizons for a New Economic Development”, held in the same context of Palau Macaya during the years 2017 and 2018.
The publication of the 1st Sessions of the Pacte Industrial “Cycle Dialogues and synergies for the 2030 circular transition” collects the transcripts of the four days of the cycle of the same name, in which prestigious speakers, of national and international origin, have intervened. At the same time, a group of experts compared and debated, in a series of participatory workshops, the reflections carried out at the conference, in order to extract the main conclusions and proposed actions. These can also be consulted in the final part of the document.
